I'm Mrs. Oh My Gosh That Brittny's Shameless

blast from the past

I had the best.time.ever. last night.

We went over to Ross and Rachel’s to watch the NFL Draft (fun, fun… NOT!) and afterwards Rachel and I played on her old Super Nintendo!

I know- we’re major losers. I don’t care. We had the best time- and now the poor boys are going to have to watch us on our mission to defeat Bowser.

...

Do you guys even remember Bowser?

...

Anyway- it was so much fun and brought back a ton of memories. Mario was pretty much the only game I could play- and I was totally awesome at it. I used to manipulate P into “playing with me.” I would put it on 2 player but only plug one controller in. She thought she was playing one of them, but I was playing both.

I loved being an older sister sometines.

Anyway, it was a ton of fun- but mostly made me remember of my sedentary awkward chubby elementary school days, and afterward I felt like I needed to run a couple miles so as to avoid any possibility of her returning again. Fun times.

I have to say-playing at 26 might have been even a little better than playing at 10 or 11. I mean- for one thing I had the freedom to throw down the “d word” instead of the usual, darn, crap, and dang it back then. I’ve also never played after a glass of wine- not that it impaired me at all, but still- defintiely something new. Also- I most definitely didn’t have a boy in the room when I played back then (ha ha).

I look forward to playing again, and I must say- PS3 has nothing on Super Nintendo.

How fun!  I never had Nintendo, but I did play Mario at a friends once in awhile...awesome game!  As to you playing with P...crazy girl!  And here I thought you were always the sweet innocent!  A bit devious were you?  smile Love it!

We never had game systems, just always the computer.  My cousins always had them and I was soooo jealous!  LOVED mario.  It was pretty mucht he only game I could play, too.  smile

Haha awesome!  I remember playing at Mario at friends houses - my parents never bought us Nintendo - but they did buy us Sega Gensis.  Remember that?!  Haha

I thought of you when I saw the NFL Draft on TV......I watched hockey instead smile

Amen! My sisters and I rock the Super as we call it, whenever we can! I love making mario fly with his cape, and mario kart.Ahhh Good Times Indeed! I think we might be soul sisters. Are you not the one that shares my love of Rocko’s Modern Life?  If you watched Salute Your Shorts too we might be twins!

So. Awesome. My older brother was severely asthmatic when we were young and he basically was banished to his bedroom all summer long. We’d play Mario and Zelda for hours ... days… weeks ... what I wouldn’t give for one of the old consoles today!

Am I a total dork because I own an original NES, a super NES, an XBOX and a wii?  Just checking.  You can even download some of the old school games onto the wii console...pretty fun to do...and Aaron has like every old school game known to man on his computer, so before we had the wii, we bought this generic control that plugs into the computer so I wouldn’t have to use the up and down keys and space bar...yeah...I am a dork.
